I am privilaged to have regular lessons with Paul. His calm, friendly
and patient approach with attention to detail, both of myself
and my horse have inspired and motivated me. He understands my
horse and which approach she needs to develop her best qualities
and iron out her faults. I really look forward to my lessons and
after each session always feel we have accomplished a little bit
more than the time before.

If you're looking for an easy time, short cuts and compromises,
go elsewhere. Paul's teaching is hard work, exacting and very
thorough; but he's also unfailingly encouraging, endlessly patient
and always focuses on the positive. He doesn't place unrealistic
demands on horse or rider, but is demanding enough to make his
lessons stimulating and always productive.

I've
been training with Paul for about 9 months now, and have noticed
a significant improvement in mine and Mango's performance.

We
won the local riding club unaffiliated novice league this year,
having won four out of six novice tests in the league, and coming
second in the other two, which I am absolutely thrilled with!
Mango is a 10 year old registered Knabstrupper
gelding, a very old breed from Denmark, which nearly died out
a few decades ago, but are now enjoying more recognition and a
revival. I had never competed in dressage before I had him, but
he has such lovely paces, I thought I would give it a try. I imported
him from his native Denmark as a 5 year old, he was a birthday
present from my husband (bought unseen from a photo on the internet),
and has turned out best present I think I will ever have! We haven't
been totally without problems, Mango liked to buck in the early
days, and I haven't had huge amounts of time to devote to his
training due to work and children. Now that my children are older,
I have started competing at affiliated dressage, gaining a score
of 66.8% and second place in my second outing. I owe a lot of
my success this year to Paul and his training methods, thanks
Paul! Janet.
